What type of high school Student are you?

Every young girl in high school wants to be the cheerleader, the Prom Queen or the popular kid at school. Back in the days, although I know deep inside how I love volleyball and softball I am also conscious of the fact that there are other kids who can excel more than me. But that doesn't stop me from playing basketball, which is my favorite sports. And damn, the good, the bad and the ugly memories of high school are still fresh in my mind. High School is the period of life when you grow to become an adolescent. There are so many changes and experiences that will mold you to either choose to mature as a rebel or a heroine! I am thankful, I discover writing and has then become my outlet to express myself and turned-out to be one. To this day, I just smile walking back memory lane and when I saw this pair of Zara athletic socks that kind of rewinded me of my four years at public high school. The fact is from elementary to college I studied at public schools and I got tired of wearing my usual uniform: a white shirt tucked-in, a well-ironed blue pleated skirt and a pair of shiny black Chinese shoes. Let's just say it neatly as prim and proper. However, there are times in life that you dress-up picking that crop white shirt, that skimpy denim dungaree and wear that bloody red lipstick - the very things the school principal will likely prohibit. But this styling attempt is just to protest against your past or perhaps the anarchist inside that you failed to do before. After all, you had graduated of high-school and you won't be called at the guidance counselor's office if you know what I mean! Simply because public school system doesn't get everybody, it's you who you decide to be kid you want to be!

Paper Leather 0023

Super lightweight. Hand made. Functional. These are my purchasing requirements when it comes to a bag. When I discovered about Scartami, it immediately grabs my attention. Foremost, each bag is non-repeatable in terms of the paper leather graphics taken from the 30's, 40's and 50's fashion magazines and each model is numbered like mine is 0023. That means my bag is the 23rd Matilde version bag but the graphics can't be rerun, in short it's unique! If you have been following me for sometime, I always like the idea of innovation and caring for the environment. The brand's idea of recycling old paper scraps and crafting it into magnificent design by treating it into a special resin that will surely last a lifetime is for me a genuine concept. Aside, I really like the texture of the Italian leather as the main material and the humid-protective canvas lining. This bag is perfect for the city and even business or out-of-town get-aways. In terms of styling this bag, one can't go wrong with a distressed boyfriend jeans - don't you agree?

Supporting Sustainable Fashion

Apart from my belief that fashion should be fun and should be enjoyed on your own personal aesthetics, I also think it's important to support brands that you think go out of their way to care for the environment. That's why I always make it a habit to buy at least a piece everytime H&M Conscious Collection is out. It's not the first time you find me supporting these kinds of initiatives. Last time I also wrote about an Italian brand, you can read HERE, which use natural raw materials in making wearable fashion. Since, summer is a few months away, I thought of adding this knit organic cotton crop top on my wardrobe. The fabric feels like your second skin and I can style it in many ways. I've been in a longing to try wearing a crop top and the search for the impeccable one is not that easy. But quite sincerely, I am glad I found the perfect one!
